THE PLOW

Stall in the 1200 to 1400 range. These are low stall heavy duty converters for those applications where lower stall speeds and durability are a must. They feature brazed fins, heavy duty sprags, and high temp superior-hold carbon composite converter clutch lining. These are available in 27 spline for the early, 1980 to 1984 700R4, and for all years 2004R. They are also available in late, 30 spline for the 1985 and newer 700R4, and for 4L60E up to 1998. Not available for LS1 1998 UP.

THE DAILY

These stall in the 1800 to 2000 range. They are an excellent everyday street driver converter. They have that little extra stall over the average stock converter to add responsiveness without diminishing drivability. Fuel efficiency around town with these is virtually unchanged from the OEM converter. These converters also feature the high temp carbon composite lockup clutch, brazed fins and heavy duty sprag. These are available for the LT-1 engine, for the early 2004R, 700R4, and the late 700R4 and 4L60E transmissions. Not available for the LS1 1998 UP.

THE DRIVER

Stall for these units is in the 2300 to 2500 range. These converters are in the higher stall range necessary for true street performance. They are not as fuel friendly as the Daily, but are a reasonable compromise, delivering excellent torque multiplication for great additional launch while still not generating the excessive heat associated with higher stall converters. They are an excellent converter for a moderate street “cammed” car, when the driver doesn’t mind a little compromise in efficiency in exchange for the added low end torque. This unit also features heavy duty sprag, brazed fins and high carbon lockup clutch. As with the other units, these are available for the LT-1 engine, for the early 2004R, 700R4, and the late 700R4 and 4L60E transmissions Not available for LS1 1998 UP.
